Community Value Plan

The Project Team held an Introductory Session for the Community Value Plan on Saturday June 7, 2008.  Since that time, three CVP Workshops have been held with approximately 40 people in attendance at each workshop.

The focus of Workshop #1 was the identification of key community values and local features that are important to the community.

Following Workshop #1, straw model designs were developed using a tool kit of mitigation and enhancement measures.  The straw models were presented at Workshop #2 for further input and refinement.

At Workshop #3, a variety of mitigation and enhancement measures were discussed for application at various locations throughout the study corridor.  The mitigation and enhancement measures were grouped into the following themes: universal measures, landscape screening, gateway, architecture, local heritage, wildlife crossings and wetland restoration.
