Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA) Process
The 407 East study is subject to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA) as well as the Provincial EA process. The project has been undertaken as an Environmental Screening under CEAA and Transport Canada (TC) and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) were identified as the Responsible Authorities (RAs). The 407 East EA study is listed on the CEAA Registry (Reference Number 08-01-39781) and the Notice of Commencement can be found at http://www.ceaa.gc.ca

Notice of Completion of Ministry Review An Invitation to Comment on the Environmental Assessment for the 407 East Environmental Assessment (EA)
The Ministry of the Environment has prepared a Review of the 407 East EA for public and agency comment. You are invited to comment on the proposed undertaking, the EA and the Ministry Review of the EA. Once the comment period is complete, the Minister will make a decision on the EA after consideration of all submissions.

Environmental Assessment Report
As required under section 6.2(1) of the Environmental Assessment Act (EAA) and in accordance with the approved Terms of Reference of January 17, 2005, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) completed the 407 East Environmental Assessment (EA) Report and submitted it to the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) for review and approval.
