Notice Of Draft Environmental Assessment Report
(Pre-Submission Review)

A Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) Report documenting the 407 East IEA and Preliminary Design Study process has been prepared.  This report is being made available for agency and public review prior to a formal approval submission to the Minister of the Environment (Minister) in the Summer of 2009.

The Draft EA Report will be available for a 5-week review period commencing on June 15, 2009 until July 20, 2009.  The Draft EA Report is available for review on the Study website and can be found by clicking here

Comments are requested by July 20, 2009, so they can be considered as the EA Report is finalized.  Please submit comments through our Contact Us page or in writing to the AECOM Project Office at 300 Water Street, Whitby, ON.

Following the pre-submission review period, the study team will finalize the EA Report in response to any comments received and submit it to the Minister for formal approval. As part of the formal review and approval process, the final EA Report will be made available for agency and public review.  Another notice will be published at that time.

PIC #5

The fifth round of Public Information Centres (PIC #5) were held in January and February of 2009.  PIC #5 presented the Technically Preferred Route (TPR) for the 407 transportation corridor and the location / size of support facilities for the corridor.  PIC #5 also presented the Recommended Community Value Plan for the TPR and information on potential impacts and proposed mitigation measures and strategies.

  • you have reviewed the mapping of the Technically Preferred Route and are not sure if your property is directly impacted by the corridor
  • you have received a notice and would like more information
  • if you have received a map and would like to note an error or change in your information
